naughty, playful and ever so active! there’s always a new thing about ya everyday.. mmmmwacks!

it’s a day off for me (at least for this week). lazing at home with mom, dad, mary, along, uzz… even angah is back for a week. Nek pun ade. that leaves adik and acha – both busy with their lives. despite not having everyone around, it’s still nice to be home.

last nite, pegi makan2 at akak’s place. guess what was on the menu? home made ARAB dishes. kenyang gile makan, ok! with the lamb n soup n lotsa rice. the best part ade kurma and air zam zam. alhamdulillah. dapat merasa air yg we can’t simply get anywhere. semoga diberi ketenangan hati. and may it help me endure my housemanship. speaking of which, i’m already done with o&g last february. got a few days off before i started tagging in surgical department on february 18th 2011. since then life has been….well… hectic. draining. stressful.

hell? well, maybe not yet. a surgical ward is totally different from an O&G ward. instead of expecting moms with big bellies, i now deal with anything from the common acute appendicitis to  MVA with multiple trauma, UGIB, hernia, paraphymosis, onco patients, alcoholics with acute pancreatitis and the list goes on. so far i’ve only had 1 OT call. thank god it was with a cool MO – Dr Hans. unfortunately, we didn’t get that many cases that night. i kinda dread ward calls coz we have to know all the cases in the ward, and as for the ward i was in previously, even if it was a passive day for the ward, we’re still like an active ward, happily receiving admissions! ggrrrr!

i’ve been longing to blog but somehow have been too tired, too occupied with work. went online earlier and was approached by a junior, Kid , if i’d be free next week for a cyber conference amongst HOs and students back in Russia. will try and join if i’m free, aight? to fellow HOs reading this, hope u guys would join the conference and share some advice and experience with our beloved juniors, k? i’m sure they’re all so excited to be working soon! *wink* (contact Kid on his YM for further details, k?)

i’m signing off now. gona take a bath and sort out some call claims.

in case u’re wondering.. oncall on weekdays = rm100/call. and on weekends/public holiday is rm110/call. don’t ask me how it’s calculated. i know…………it’s so so weird, rite? =p

sikit lagi nak masuk lorong rumah, mommy and i bumped into along & yan. nak pegi makan kejap, katanya. so OK. they went to get some things to munch.
then we went home. mommy ada meeting at 4 pm. i tagged along. mummy dropped me off kat Alamanda around 3 pm and she went to attend the meeting.
around 4.30 pm, while i was doing some shopping, I got an SMS from yan. katanye pinggang sakit sangat, macam nak patah. so nak pegi hospital terus.
i was worried. wish i could join them but i didn’t drive today! so i told them i’ll come once mommy is done with the meeting.
after about 90 minutes of waiting, at 7 pm, mommy finally showed up and we sped off to PCMC. there was a bit of traffic jam, but we got there in no time.
parked the car, went to the gynae ward on the 6th floor.
our eyes was on the look out for ward 6H. obstetrics ward.

as we enter the ward, the nurses at the registration desk asked us who or what we were looking for.
“Maria Liyana? oooh.. bilik depan ni je.”
i pushed the door open, and there she was. on the bed, clad in a pink hospital gown. she looked glowing, a little stressed from the contractions that come every now and then.
well, at least we’re in the hospital now. ^__^ doctors and nurses are around. so we’re a little relieved…

as for me, one of them would be my (family’s) cats. they are usually in their cage. sometimes i let them out to play (of course, knowing i’d be scolded by Abah for doing that for he fear they’d be cat-napped or simply can’t find their way home) it’s such a wondrous feeling to see them happily jumping and running around.
then, 2 days ago, i let some of the kitties out to play – all the ‘girls’ except Pochi and Stokin.

KP, Baby, Abang and Grey must’ve been glad to be out of the cage. they enjoyed strolling around the house area, playing under the car, sharpen their nails on the car tyres, climb trees.. ^_^
kawaii neko..
as i am now busy prepping Angah’s wedding with mummy, and felt that the gals wanted to hang out a little longer, i didn’t put them back in the cage by the time night came.
the next day (yesterday) they were no where in sight! T__T
i called and searched for them around the house, along the street where i live but came back empty handed.
where did you guys go??
and imagine how i felt when Abah said that some Vietnamese or other immigrants around this area CATCH stray cats (or even owned ones) and eat them!!! T__T
this morning, after 2 days gone, Grey finally came back! huaaaaaaaaaaa~~~~ where did u go??????? i hope Baby and Abang will come back home soon..

even this morning when i was supposed leave at 10 am, i was still cleaning up and packing til the very last second!

thank God Irene came and lent me a hand. don’t know how i’d manage without her!

and I’m going to repeat it again : Irene! why la last nite u tak teman me in 5th hostel??? if not sure dah siap kemas last nite and can sleep some more rather than rush buat smua in 1 hour this morning! LOL

Alson was also at my room coz he’ll be taking my fridge and picking up cute HERO & evil mom, SITI to take care of them until next autumn semester starts. so gonna miss that brown wobbly little furball!! T__T and i had to depart just when she starts to be more playful, biting and scratching and trying to run although she’s still not stable on her feet yet. so adorable! i pray Atam will get to bring Hero and Siti back home this winter.

when i left with Junice at 10 am this morning, Maal and Flo came to see us off. Hui Ting also came, with Zhi Yuan, Alson, and Irene who came to pass to me FO episodes that she helped me download the night before. and the oxpana in duty today was the nice makcik. she kept saying

“Farah, all the best, be a good doctor, good luck. have a safe journey..”

I didn’t even know she knew my name! thanx makcik guard!

after loading all the bags into the black Lancer, it was time to say goodbye. the taxi driver, Sasha, wanted to leave ASAP to avoid traffic in Moscow later. so the hugging and farewells were kept to a minimum. i was so blur and somehow overwhelmed and also because of all the rush, all of us didn’t even snap pics before leaving. aigooo~~

once i got into the front seat and shut the door, i already felt it. an indescribable feeling so heavy i never thought i’d felt. like a loss, a yearning.. gosh i can’t explain. and the black LANCER sped off………
